The research cooperation with LIKAT Rostock has resulted in a technology that will change the market: chemical hydrogen storage based on salt – unpressurized, non-toxic, highly efficient.

Not an exotic laboratory project. A pilot plant is already running in Rostock. TRL 6 – and on the way to TRL 7.

Functional principle Our technology makes the complex simple.

For the storage we convert hydrogen gas into a hydrogen-rich solution. This reversible process uses potassium formate and potassium bicarbonate – two readily available compounds. The beauty lies in its simplicity – making long-term energy storage both affordable and safe.
