Peter Roessner | CEO
Peter Roessner has been Chief Executive Officer of H2APEX since 2022 and has extensive experience in finance and banking. He is a board member of the Hydrogen Energy Cluster Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and a member of the National Energy Committee of the German Economic Council. In his role as CFO (2019-2022), he was an advisor in the first financing round in 2017/18. Previously, Peter Roessner had already been a successful entrepreneur for many years and was able to sell his self-founded company with over 60 employees at a profit.
Axel Funke | CTO
Axel Funke is the Chief Technology Officer at H2APEX. He brings his expertise in engineering and innovation to his role. With extensive experience in the hydrogen sector, Funke has previously led pioneering projects in the field of renewable energy and clean technologies. At H2Apex, Axel Funke uses his background to drive the development of cutting-edge solutions for the production and use of green hydrogen.
Bert Althaus | CFO
Bert Althaus ist Chief Financial Officer und Geschäftsführer bei H2APEX. Over the past 10 years, he has played a key role in the transformation of privately managed companies in the digital environment towards the capital market in various management roles and has now turned his attention to renewable energies by joining H2APEX. Thanks to his international experience and capital market expertise, Bert Althaus is the ideal addition to the management team.
Bojan Petrov | COO
Bojan Petrov has a degree in mechanical engineering and has been working in technical sales for more than ten years. In his career, he has held numerous management positions in the engineering sector and therefore brings extensive experience and expertise to H2APEX as Chief Operating Officer. Bojan Petrov has in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of the hydrogen industry and is an expert in project sales for large-scale plant construction.
Gunnar Krueger | CBDO
Gunnar Krueger holds a degree in business administration with a focus on project and corporate finance and brings his experience and knowledge to H2APEX as Chief Business Development Officer. With more than 20 years of experience in the international renewable energy business, Gunnar Krueger has built up expertise in the areas of photovoltaics, wind, concentrated solar power and biodiesel (Fame), making an important contribution to sustainable and successful business development.
Dr. Peter Sponholz | CRO
Dr. Peter Sponholz completed his doctorate at the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis on the subject of hydrogen storage and has more than ten years of experience in the field of hydrogen. As a developer of innovative technologies, such as liquid organic hydrogen carriers, he contributes his extensive specialist knowledge and expertise as Chief Research Officer at H2APEX. His vision is to use hydrogen to solve the key challenges of the 21st century.
